Bring it, hurricanes
'canes win, the Bruins shall be playing them in round 2. Personally, I couldn't be happier with the bruins draw. While I agree that the past isn't always an indicator of the future, it's good enough for actuaries and you have to like this match up from the point of view of the Bs. The Bruins had their way with Carolina during the regular season, going 4-0 against them, outscoring them 18-6. However, Carolina acquired Erik Cole at the deadline and have been playing like a much different team. That being said, hopefully this is an entertaining series in which the Bs come out on top.

as an actuary, i have to say that the bruins do have statistics on their side. plus the past has worked wonders on predicting future mortality rates for years!
